Pain-Relieving Essential Oils

Essential oils can work effectively to reduce pain. Be it an irksome migraine or a muscle pull, essential oils work on all types of pains. The essential oils are a good alternative for the painkillers you take every now and then. Include these essential oils in your pain-management program and see effective results. 

Lavender essential oil
Lavender oil has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties which help relieving joint pains, headaches and spass. It also has exceptional components which can deal with insomnia. Massaging and inhaling the oil soothes your mind and helps you get a sound sleep. 

Eucalyptus oil
Eucalyptus oil has found to be most effective for getting relief from sinuses. It exhibits anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties and helps relieving the body from aches. However, this oil must be used in small quantities. It can also be diluted with other carrier oils and used for massage.



Sandalwood essential oil
Sandalwood essential oil works best on nerve pains and muscle spasms. It has a soothing aroma which calms the mind and can help you mediate better. The sandalwood essential oil also helps in relieving skin irritations.

Rosemary essential oil
Rosemary essential oil is popularly known as a culinary herb but it also works effectively on the muscle spasms and aids in relieving headaches. It is usually diluted with carrier oils and then applied on the affected area.


Frankincense essential oil
Frankincense essential oil helps in mitigating stress. It is efficacious for treating headaches and can be applied directly or after diffusing it with any carrier oil.

Chamomile essential oil:
The Chamomile essential oil exhibits anti-inflammatory properties. This wonderful oil helps in relieving muscle pain, joint pains and spasms. It is the most effective essential oil which works against PMS pain.

These essential oils can be used directly or blended together. The essential oils must not be directly applied on the skin. It is always better to dilute them with carrier oils such as almond oil, jojoba oil and olive oil for best results.
